When I decided that we should have guns in our home for self defense I wanted to get something that my wife could use easily. My SW99 .40 is fine for her, but a bit bulky and she has issues being able to pull the slide. After looking around on the internet this gun kept coming up with excellent reviews. The article linked above gives a great review and I can’t really add anything to it. I will say, however, as a newbie that we love how light it is, and the recoil isn’t what we were expecting. My wife will have to build up her hand strength as it is DAO, but that’s ok. The sights on it were a little tricky for us (again, being newbies) but after figuring out what was going on we dramatically improved our shooting.
At $475 I’m quite pleased and feel a lot better knowing that my wife is that much more prepared to defend herself and our children when I am not around.
The guys at the gunshop assured me that this came with black grips as well, in case my wife let me borrow it! 
I have to admit – I’ve shot it more than her, but that’s because I’m a bit more excitable than she is!
