Scott Brown wins Massachusetts! That is a win for those who enjoy shooting sports on the East Coast! I wish Illinois had Vermont-style laws regarding gun ownership. Sigh, March 2nd cannot come soon enough. If Illinois is to ever have CCW, we have to first overturn the failed Chicago Hangun Ban.

Yep, I’m Eric Sorry to hear about that shooting problem. We had some armed robberies in my neighborhood when I lived in IL (in a supposedly ”nice” area), but could only defend myself within my home… Kinda defeated the point of having a gun for self defense since I was more likely to be robbed outside than in my home.

Hi, you’re Eric, right? I understand how you feel. The entire state of Illinois (you used to live here if I recall) is one big free-fire zone. A ”gun free zone” on a statewide level. Anywhere outdoors at least, for some reason, people are only trusted with guns in their homes in Illinois. It’s sad, I recently had some gunfire take place in my neighborhood. 3 squad cars responded to the area, but all I could do was load my gun, and hide my family away from the windows. I was outside when the shots were fired, so I had to dash home, since I cannot carry outside. Lucky for me, nothing else happened.

I sure hope so! IL and WI are the ONLY states without some form of concealed carry, and it is ridiculous. I live in IA right near the IL border, and it is sad my CCW rights end at the border while criminals are still carrying.

I am looking forward to the Supreme Court striking down the Chicago Handgun ban as it did with the one in DC. It will pave the way for concealed carry in Illinois.
