Hello. My name is gary. I am new to MyGunSpot. I live in Texas and work in a prison. I have been a gunowner since 1991 when I first started in corrections. I carry concealed for self defense (a must in my job). Unlike many gun owners I don’t enjoy going to the range to blow off rounds. I enjoy going to the range to keep my skills sharp in case they are needed on duty as well as off duty.

You should be good to go. At 16 the drug charge would have fallen under Juvenile Court jurisdiction. With no further felony juvenile cases and nothing as an adult for 20 years your right to own and carry a gun should be okay. Just remember to put the juvenile case on your application or else [...]
