I agree with Eric on Maxon Shooter Supply for indoor. I shoot there regularly. I’ve never visited Naperville shooting club, but I will when it gets warmer.

Thanks LearnAboutGuns – I HAVE used an indoor range for the shotgun–>that's where my sig pic comes from. But your point is a good one: Guess I'll just need to buy something new and small better suited for the range. I appreciate your suggestions on your site for selecting handguns.
Thanks Spitfire: CCKC is on my [...]

Happy New Year to All.
To address Burt's question, regarding a range for Skeet & Trap shooting, I recommend the Bristol range in Kenosha Wisconsin (Known as: CCKC or Conservation Club of Kenosha County). This range has everything you would desire in your shooting interests. It is located just over the Illinois Wisconsin border near Lake [...] -

Thanks Spitfire: CCKC is on my to-do list of ranges to try. According to mapquest, it’s around 45 min from where I live, same as Naperville. I’ll report back.

I have held a membership with this organization for several years and have used their pistol, rifle, skeet & trap facility with great pleasure.

As far as trapshooting, the only place I know of in that area is the Naperville Sportsmans club, which you mentioned I’m not sure about skeet. If you’re just looking for an indoor range where you can shoot paper targets with your shotgun/rifle/pistol, I would recommend Maxon in Des Plaines. But shooting paper on a 50ft indoor range isn’t all that much fun with a shotgun…

My wife and I are looking for places to practice shooting with our shotguns – preferably in the general NW Chicago area. So far, I’ve tried out West Chicago trap and skeet (current favorite), Naperville Sportsman, and Mchenry Sportsman club. I wish there was a place to use one of those clay thrower things. Any recco’s? (My sig pic is from an indoor range in Dubuque.)
Thanks in advance.
