As a fan of Bersa Firearms and the pround owner of 2 of them, I'd like to inform anyone who is willing to listen that Bersa delivers quality on par with her competition at half the price. A Walther PPK/S export model can cost $800 NIB, but a Bersa Thunder 380, same caliber and almost identical handling, will cost you about $300. That is a lot of bang for your buck. They shoot accurately, take down and clean easily, and feed and fire reliably.
The same goes for the Thunder 9. Her parent gun, the Walther 88, can fetch about $800 used, but the Thunder 9 sells for $400. The guns function the same, fire the same caliber ammo, yet Bersa does not take a bite out of your wallet. I can also say, that besides my Ruger Mark III, this is the most accurate pistol I have ever shot.
Every budget-minded shooter should check out Bersa to see if they are right for you. They all have safety/ de-cocker combos. Bersa are not poorly made "junk guns" or "Saturday Night Specials" (I hate those terms, but they are so commonplace, kind of like the term "Assault Weapon") They are made of steel and aluminum, you will see very little plastic on these guns.
The available calibers from Bersa are .22LR, .380, 9×19, .40, and .45; the most popular calibers for semi-automatic pistols. I think everyone could find something they like from the Bersa line.
